Apple has pushed its Alarm Bells!

So let’s recap.

iPhone

It was expected. 1 year of iPhone # and then the #S series. The iPhone 6S & 6S Plus.

The iPhone sports a new “custom” alloy that the Space industry use. It also has super strong glass fitted to it aswell to make it extra durable. (We await the YouTube tests)
The iPhone gets a new colour, Rose Gold plus the other original colours from the 6 series.

Highlighted features include:

  • 3D Touch (A phone version of the Macbook “Force Touch”)
  • 64-bit A9 chip
  • 12MP back camera with 4K video recording
  • 5MP FaceTime HD and Retina Flash

3D Touch

Apple has introduced a feature called 3D Touch, but it isn’t what you may think, its just the force touch implementation which is already available on the Apple Watch and on new Macbooks that allow users can hold down on various apps to both ‘peek’ and ‘pop’.

For example, you could lightly tap on the content of an email to peek at the content inside, and if you press harder, the content you’re peeking at will pop open fully.

As is standard with Force Touch, the iPhone will offer feedback from a newly designed vibrator module as a part of the 3D Touch experience.

A few examples of 3D Touch on the iPhone include: lightly tap on the camera icon to get camera options, and press harder to go straight into selfie mode, lightly tap on various app to choose to go into various parts of the app, lightly tap on a flight number and get flight-tracking information as a ‘peek’, or Force Touch an address to get a preview within the Maps app.

It’s an interesting feature to have, but may frustrate people. We shall soon see.

The iPhone 6S features a 4.7-inch Retina display (1334×750), and is powered by the Apple A9 processor.

Connectivity like LTE-A for fast 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and VoLTE support.

It features the second-generation TouchID sensor for faster unlocking.

It comes in three models: 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.

16GB: $1079
64GB: $1299
128GB: $1379

The exchange rate and Apple’s ridiculous Premium pricing makes this yet another “Why do I buy this?”.

The iPhone 6S Plus is very similar. The internal components are the same as the iPhone 6S, but the main difference is the screen size.

Instead of the 4.7-inch display, you get a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1080.

It comes in three models: 16GB, 64GB and 128GB:

16GB: $1299
64GB: $1379
128GB: $1529

The new iPhone 6S & 6S Plus can be pre-ordered from Saturday 12 September, and goes on sale on 25 September.

The hopes that people will upgrade is still high with Apple with competitors showcasing game changers. Google Android Phones are still the top selling phones and with Microsoft starting to pack some punch into their plans to compete, Apple have a fight on their hands.

Microsoft Surface Pro
iPad Pro

We are sorry, but this is plain ridiculous.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has continued to blow consumers out of the water to the point where Apple needed to make an iPad version.

They added “Pro” like the Surface. Made it bigger. But worst of all, the 2 accessories that also hurt iPad, but not anymore, is a Microsoft like Pen called “Apple Pencil” and a exact replica of the Surface Keyboard, the iPad Keyboard.

This is nuts and just goes to show that Microsoft truly hurt the egos of the staff at Apple. Now we wait and see for the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 presentation.

Highlighted features include:

  • 12.9″ screen at 2,732 x 2,048
  • 6.9mm thin, weighs 1.57 lbs or 0.71kg
  • Powerful new A9X chip that’s 1.8x than the A8.
  • 10-hour battery life
  • 8MP iSight camera
  • Touch ID
  • Powerful four speaker audio that changes the sound orientation as you rotate the iPad around.

This iPad is everything like before, just bigger and better. Not to mention it being Microsoft Surfaces evil twin brother/sister.

OH! and Apple snuck in the apparent unimportant iPad Mini 4, which is an Air 2 shrunk down.

iPad Pro has no price yet but will be released in November. We will update you when more info comes out.

The iPad Mini 4 comes as the following:

Wi-Fi:

16GB: $569
64GB: $699
128GB: $829

Wi-Fi + Mobile:

16GB: $729
64GB: $859
128GB: $989
