Since October 8th, after the Microsoft Event on the 7th (AU Time) people have been asking on the Lumia US Facebook Page about when will the new phones be coming out (the Full Date) and when will other phones be allowed to get the Windows Mobile 10 upgrade.
The Lumia Team replied:
Microsoft plan to release Windows Mobile 10 to current Windows Phone 8.1 devices from December.
UPDATE: Microsoft have delayed the rollout until “2016”. No official Details as to why. Suggestions are that they want the new devices to have some limelight.
The link they posted also states that certain models will rollout Windows Mobile 10 first – Lumia 430, Lumia 435, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 635 (1 GB RAM), Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, and Lumia 930.
The site also states that all eligible phones will need atleast 8GB of Free Internal Storage to Upgrade.
UPDATE: Phone list may change.
The new Lumia 950 & 950XL and the Lumia 550 are out now.
